Message

An open one-to-one member communication outside Social context. Messages live in two-participant threads owned by messages.elonn.local.

Allowed:

  • message thread
  • message inbox
  • send a message
  • new message
  • open message

Forbidden:

  • using "message" to mean a reply in a conversation
  • using "message" to mean an event reply
  • using "message" interchangeably with "conversation"
  • using "message" to mean a Social DM
  • adding a third member to a message thread

Notes:

  • Message threads are strictly one-to-one. If communication needs more than two members, create or use a Social community, conversation, or event instead.
  • A reply is not a message. Replies go into conversations or events.
  • A Social DM is not a platform Message. Social DMs start from Social context and remain owned by Social.
  • The message inbox aggregates all threads where the current member is a participant.
